Our Daily Routine
- ⏰ 6:45 AM: Wake up, check on the worm bins (5 minutes, quick)
- 🚌 7:30 AM: School bus
- 📚 3:30 PM: Homework (this comes FIRST — non-negotiable with mom)
- 🪱 5:00 PM: Worm feeding, moisture check, order prep
- 📦 5:30 PM: Pack any orders that came in that day
- 🛁 6:30 PM: Normal kid stuff — dinner, bath, reading
💡 Our Rule: School comes before the business, always. Grades dropped junior once when Burak spent too much time on the website instead of studying for a spelling test. We reset priorities immediately.
Dividing the Work
We have unofficial job titles but real responsibilities:
- 👑 Burak (CEO): Handles the website, prices, and big decisions
- 🐛 Bilal (COO): Manages the worm bins, feeding schedule, and quality control
- 🤝 Both: Order packing, customer questions, marketing ideas
- 👨 Dad: Deliveries, accounting, and making sure we don't do anything unethical
What We've Learned About Time Management
You have more time than you think. We used to spend 2+ hours watching YouTube after school. Now we use 30 minutes of that for the business and 30 minutes for a walk. We still watch YouTube — just less mindlessly.
What Our Teachers Think
Most of our teachers think it's really cool. Burak's math teacher started using our sales data for real-world math problems in class. Bilal's science teacher asked us to present to the class about the worm lifecycle. Our business has actually made school more interesting.
Advice for Other Kids
You don't need to be in high school to start something. You don't need much money. You just need an idea, someone who'll help you stay safe, and enough stubbornness to keep going when it gets hard. It gets hard sometimes. We keep going anyway. That's the whole secret.
