Before there was a website, before there were bins, there was one worm named Wiggles. Here's how a single earthworm became the mascot of a business.

Every business has an origin story. Ours involves a worm, a pencil case full of change, and a name that took about 45 seconds to invent.

The Name "BuBi"

Our full names are Burak and Bilal. We've been called "BuBi" by our grandma since we were tiny β€” it's the first two letters of each of our names. When we needed a business name, it was the first thing we thought of. It felt right because it's us. It's two brothers working together. The name tells the story without any explanation.

Why "Worms Co." and Not Just "Worms"?

Bilal insisted on the "Co." He said, "It sounds like we have employees." We don't have employees. But Wiggles is the mascot, and mascots are basically employees, right?

πŸ’‘ Branding Tip: Your business name should be easy to say, easy to spell, and mean something to you. BuBi Worms passes all three tests. Most importantly, it makes people smile when they hear it β€” and that's worth a lot.

The Story of Wiggles

When we bought our first 100 worms, one of them was noticeably larger and more active than all the others. Burak named him Wiggles immediately. Wiggles survived every mistake we made as new worm farmers β€” the time the bin got too dry, the time we accidentally left it in the sun, the time Bilal poked around too much trying to find eggs.

Wiggles is still alive. We've had him for over a year. He lives in the best spot of the premium bin, well-fed and very important. He doesn't actually run the place β€” but we like to say he does.

Designing Our Look

Dad helped us with the website colors. We wanted green because that's soil and nature. We chose yellow because it's bright and happy. The orange came in because it looked good with the green and because we needed something bold for buttons. Wiggles got his own emoji (πŸͺ±, obviously) and became the face of the whole operation.

What "Brand" Really Means

Before BuBi Worms, we thought branding was just a logo. Now we know it's everything β€” the name, the colors, the way you talk to customers, the packaging, even the smell of the box (ours smells like good clean soil, we checked). Branding is the whole feeling someone gets when they think of you. We want people to feel happy and a little bit charmed when they think of BuBi Worms. We think it's working.
